Glacier

Pointe de la Galise

Few shots from yesterday morning. We went for an early hike with Boris and Guibolle to reach the top of La Pointe de la Galise (3343m). I didn’t want to bring my camera with me first as I wanted my backpack to be light, but I’m glad I did change my mind because the view at the top was just outstanding!
I used a Canon 17-40 Lens & a Canon 8-15 fisheye Lens. I wish I had a full frame camera for those shots to get a full 180° view circle tho!

Quelques photos prises hier matin.

Garibaldi Provincial Park & the Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 L USM Fisheye Lens

I went for a 2 days hike a few days ago in Garibaldi Provincial Park, and brought my recently purchased Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 L USM Fisheye Lens with me. This lens provides 180° circular fisheye images on full-frame EOS models. In other words, a full 360 degree field of vision in the middle of the frame!

I wanted to share with you a few shots I took with this absolutely amazing lens!
This lens is razor sharp even wide open! I couldn’t get the full circular shot as I am using a Canon 1D Mark IV APS-H sized sensor (1.3x crop factor).

I didn’t use the 8-15 lens for the following shots, I just wanted to share those photos with you as Garibaldi Provincial Park is one of the most beautiful hike I have done in the area!
